It is valid for 10 days from that point.
After the wedding ceremony, the officiant and two witnesses who are at least 18 years old must sign the license. Caddo County Marriage License Requirements
Oklahoma law applies to all counties, including Caddo. You must be 18 or older with a valid photo ID. Applicants who are 16 or 17 need parental consent and a certified birth certificate. Anyone under 16 needs a court order. No blood test is required. Oklahoma does not have a residency rule, so people from any state can apply for a license in Caddo County. The ceremony must happen within the state.
There is no waiting period for adults. Under-18 applicants wait 72 hours unless a judge removes the hold. Oklahoma also has a six-month remarriage rule. If either person got an Oklahoma divorce within the past six months, they can only marry their former spouse during that window. Divorces from other states do not carry this limit. The Caddo County clerk checks for it before handing over the license.
Under Title 43, Section 7 of Oklahoma Statutes, ministers no longer file their credentials with the court. The officiant just signs the certificate after the ceremony. This has been the law since November 1, 2022. Two witnesses aged 18 or older must also sign.
