Osage County Marriage License Requirements
Oklahoma state law applies to all marriage licenses in Osage County. Both applicants must be at least 18 with a valid photo ID. Ages 16 and 17 require parental consent and a certified birth certificate. Under 16 needs a court order. There is no blood test and no residency requirement. You do not have to live in Osage County, but the ceremony must take place in Oklahoma.
Adults face no waiting period at all. Applicants under 18 must wait 72 hours unless a judge waives it. The six-month divorce restriction applies: if either person was divorced in Oklahoma within the past six months, they can only remarry their former spouse during that time. Oklahoma divorces from other states do not trigger this rule. The Osage County Court Clerk checks for this restriction during the application process.
Under Title 43, Section 7 of Oklahoma Statutes, ministers and officiants do not pre-register credentials with the court. The officiant signs the marriage certificate to verify their authority to perform the ceremony. Two witnesses age 18 or older are required as well.

What Osage County Marriage Records Show

The Certificate of Marriage is signed by the officiant and witnesses after the wedding, then filed with the clerk as the permanent record.
Most records list full names, ages at the time of the ceremony, and the wedding date. Older filings may note prior marriages. Later records can include birthplace, addresses, and parent names. For the complete file beyond what OSCN shows, you will need the physical copy from the Osage County Court Clerk.
